Our Grades : ASME SA285 Grade C
Covering low to intermediate tensile strength carbon steel for use in non–critical pressure vessel applications, ASME SA285 sets standards for plates used by fabricators in the production of weldable pressure vessels & boilers.
As the standard is specifically for low to intermediate tensile strength, the steel plates supplied under this standard should be used in low pressure storage tanks, boilers and vessels.
We supply high quality ASME SA285 Grade C pressure vessel steel plate which is available ex–stock from our UK warehouse and can be shipped worldwide.
ASME SA285 Grade C is a low to intermediate tensile strength pressure vessel grade steel. Used in the fabrication of pressure vessels and boiler tanks, SA285 Grade C should not be considered for use in high pressure applications.
The material has good weldability under conventional methods using fusion welding. Plates supplied to this standard are normally delivered \\'as rolled\\' unless otherwise specified.
